Since I still can't seem to leave a comment on Yellow Peril, here's the text I am trying to post. What's spam" about this? I suspect their beysian oblox needs shooting:

My comments were not canned meat. Anyway, I guess the real answer is if the only Lib Dem MP you really fix on most of the time is Lynne, of whose "little army" I am assuredly not one, then I guess the other however many it is (so many these days I've quite forgotten!) must be doing pretty well okay.

One thing I find a little sad though - I spend hours working on my blog on what I consider to be interesting issues like climate change, tax philosophy/policy, affordable housing and the like, and in one fell swoop two blog posts sweep the board with hits - both sniping at Labour activists.

So now we know what you need to do to get hits - bitch and carp at other people and parties. How sad."

Since when does blog mandate comments anyway?

Many blogs don't allow comments, a blog is a web log, ie a website which has periodic postings by a person or group of people.
No need to allow comments as far as I can see, or otherwise why do dedicated weblog software solutions have the option to disable them?

Come to think of it, the first blogs I ever saw back in 1999/2000 had no comment systems (beyond emailing), comments are a recent development.

I also think that the spam filter rejects everything, a non-spam sensible post won't get through, a short post which can't be construed as spam won't.

Er, actually, yours, most of the time. I would say that three quarters of my attempts to post a comment on Yellow Peril I get some kind of error along the lines of:

Error
You are not allowed to proceed with this request.
Spam

But you know, over there at Yellow Peril they seem to have an unhealthy obsession with Lynne. It's pretty tiresome really. What's it all about? Glynis not give you enough attention as a child Kinnockkid?
