Hot on the heels of a few moans (by me not least, here ) that Chris Huhne needs to produce something like Nick Clegg's comprehensive "Vision for Britain" document so we can all pick it apart and say how good it is, supporters will have received news that Chris will "launch his manifesto with a keynote speech" on Wednesday at noon.
Well...what is a person to do to celebrate the close of nominations when he's already handed his in days ago?

Oh yes - more prohibition is really the answer:
The simple truth is that the conditions of the smoking ban are not too prohibitive, but that they are nowhere near prohibitive enough. Instead of producing the dream of a land free of the scourge of secondhand smoke, it's now virtually impossible to enter many pubs and clubs without first pushing your way through an unhealthy congregation of smokers converging around the doorway.
Fuckwit! It was always likely to be the case that some bansturbators would press on for a complete ban on smoking but if you ask me, Mr Hallam's photograph next to his CiF article suggests to me that he could do with a dose of humour to reduce the heart attack inducing stress evident in his life. Hint - if you don't like pubs which can't make provision for smokers out of sight of the front door, maybe chose another that does if you don't like it.

I've not been posting much recently. It's the worst week of my year. Getting everything ready for the arrival of my 550 new teenaged charges in halls of residence and so on. But also because I am working on another blog. I mean helping to write and debug a new piece of blog server software that will enable me to move mine over to my favourite web content management system.
I already use it a little at my Oxfordshire Community Land Trust site but it's not quite as robust as to work with all the editing tools and so on I use yet.
See, I'm more than just a set of wacky opinions...:)
